Breast Cancer Patients Get The First Ever Social Media Show

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) November 30, 2011

Eliminating the gap between breast cancer patients and top breast cancer experts, digital marketing leader WireBuzz, renowned breast surgeon Jay K. Harness, MD, FACS and molecular diagnostics maker, Genomic Health Inc, have joined forces to launch the groundbreaking social media show BreastCancerAnswers.com.

"I'm honored to be a part of this ingenious campaign that gives breast cancer patients what they have always deserved, access to the top doctors and cutting edge information," said Dr. Harness. As past president of both the American Society of Breast Surgeons & Breast Surgery International, Dr. Harness and his colleagues provide easy access to invaluable information.

This highly interactive social media show enables patients across the dominant eight social networks (ex. Facebook, YouTube & Twitter...) to submit their questions and receive a video response back. Patient questions can also be submitted at BreastCancerAnswers.com/ask.

"After watching my step-mom battle breast cancer, I knew I needed to leverage our digital marketing expertise to help women," said Todd Hartley, president of WireBuzz.com. "So Dr. Harness and I built this amazing show that's always accessible to patients, just like my step-mom."

Each time a patient submits a new question, they receive an email with a video answering their question. These short Q & A responses, or episodes, are then published every week day across the Internet and into the show's growing Q & A video library. On BreastCancerAnswers.com patients also have access to Dr. Harness', Questions To Ask You Doctor. A user friendly form that can be downloaded, printed, and used during a patient's next doctor's appointment. (Download the questions form at breastcanceranswers.com/what-breast-cancer-questions-to-ask)

DNAinfo.com Launches the First "Manhattan Wellness Month"

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 25, 2012

New Yorkers who resolved to get in shape in the New Year are getting help from DNAinfo.com; Manhattan's leading neighborhood news source designated January "Manhattan Wellness Month,? providing New Yorkers with a central source for healthy living ideas and activities. The website currently features fitness news stories, a calendar of healthy events, and deals from local businesses catering to health and wellness.

Manhattan fitness specialist Kristi Molinaro, who created the 30/60/90? interval class that modernized group fitness in NYC, provides weekly workout tips tailored to life in the Big Apple in her "Fitness Insider" column. "I want to inspire New Yorkers to make 2012 their healthiest year yet," says Molinaro. "My column will also discuss the latest fitness crazes to hit the city and exercises that can be done in the tiniest studio apartment."

Molinaro's first column included her favorite health tips, such as:

1.????Keep alcohol and desserts to just twice a week. If you eat 'clean' the other five days, you can afford a little indiscretion in your diet.

2.????Add "intervals" to workouts. Studies show that working past your comfort zone, no matter what your fitness level is, can elevate metabolism for up to 36 hours.

3.????Take a yoga or Pilates-style class to help de-stress. Increased levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) have been shown to add inches to your mid-section.

4.????Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Often people think they're hungry when they're actually dehydrated.

5.????Motivation follows action. When you're sitting on the couch feeling unmotivated, force yourself to get up, get into your workout clothes and out the door.

Leela de Kretser, DNAinfo.com's Publisher and Editorial Director, says that, "Since many New Yorkers pledge to improve themselves in the New Year, we are spotlighting resources like gyms, nutritionists, health food stores and spas throughout January," adding, "Our website enables visitors to search for a particular fitness class, such as Pilates or yoga, as well as events, deals and doctors by neighborhood."

Grand Pacific Resort Management Completes First Phase of Color Code Training

Layton, UT (PRWEB) January 25, 2012

Grand Pacific Resort Management chose UMEUS Consulting to provide a critical element of their management training program. Nigel Lobo, VP of Operations commented, ?I was looking for something that would energize my management team, something new and exciting. I was intrigued with the concept of motive and wanted to see how it would work with our organization. I am delighted with the results?

Candace Vigil, Senior Consultant at UMEUS Consulting says, ?Research shows that emotional intelligence, often referred to as ?soft skills?, is four times more important than IQ in gauging career success. Interpersonal skills, unlike IQ, can be learned and improved, yet this is an area often overlooked when training teams. The results of the Color Code Personality Assessment, pioneered by Dr. Taylor Hartman, PhD, are unique to each individual and provide clear insight into why you do the things you do. The training we provide teaches you how to take that information and apply it in real life situations. By understanding motive, you can change behavior to produce the desired results.?

Resort management can be intense and stressful. Trying to manage guest expectations, complex schedules, and internal demands can create a tense work environment where misunderstandings can escalate into serious problems. Understanding core motive and learning to communicate effectively with others can reduce stress, improve the level of employee engagement, and enhance synergy.

Doreen Bechard, Regional Director of Resort Operations said, ?A lot of training programs are exciting at first, but they die out within a day when you return to your usual busy schedule. The Color Code stayed alive in our organization because of the comprehensive follow up provided as part of the training. Now it?s become part of our culture and daily conversation.?

James Tennery, Resort General Manager, had this to say, ?I?ve never seen a concept saturate our organization as quickly and completely as the Color Code training. It has become ingrained in our daily conversation. The Color Code has become part of the culture at Grand Pacific Resort Management.?

Mr. Lobo continues, ?Training is an important component here at Grand Pacific Resort Management. We implement a number of different methods to keep our team motivated to deliver memorable vacations to our guests and owners. Our management team really benefitted from this method which dovetails nicely into our other programs. The training provided by UMEUS Consulting supports our mission and keeps us moving in the right direction.?
